Prof Ferdinand Nangole

KENYA
Professor Ferdinand Nangole leads the Plastic Surgery thematic unit at the University of Nairobi and current president of KSPRAS. As one of Kenya's leading plastic surgeons, he performs a wide range of procedures. He has earned several honors, including awards for his presentations at international and local conferences and the 2013 EBOPRAS fellowship achievement. He is also instrumental in establishing plastic surgery training and micro-vascular surgery at the University of Nairobi and has supervised over thirty MMED students and a PhD student.
Prof Andreas Gohritz

Prof Catherine Curtin

Prof Catherine who is a professor in plastic surgery at Stanford University trained at Yale University, University of Michigan and Stanford University. She specializes in peripheral nerve surgery, nerve compression syndromes, neuropathic pain, and upper limb reconstruction. Her work focuses on improving postoperative pain management, treating complex nerve conditions, and advancing research on nerve compression outcomes and upper extremity function.
Prof Sinikka Suominen

Based in Helsinki University Hospital and Mehiläinen, Finland, she is a distinguished professor international recognized for her expertise in reconstructive microsurgery particularly in breast reconstruction, lymphedema surgery and complex cancer reconstruction. She has made significant contributions to advancing microsurgical techniques and patient centered reconstructive care.
Prof Jorge Francisco Clifton Correa

Dr. Jorge Francisco Clifton Correa is a Mexican surgeon of international renown with more than 40 years of experience practicing in Guadalajara, Mexico. Dr. Clifton is a past President of the Mexican Association of Hand Surgery and a Founding Member of the Brachial Plexus International School. Prof Oskar C. Aszmann

Prof Oskar, who is also the Vice-Chair of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Medical University of Vienna, Austria. A European Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, he specializes in extremity reconstruction and has worked with Otto Bock since 2006 to advance bionic reconstruction and rehabilitation. Specialized in Bionic Extremity Reconstruction & Neuromuscular Surgery. Appointed Full Professor in 2020, his research has been published in leading journals including The Lancet, Science, Nature journals, and NEJM. He has received several international awards and secured over €10 million in research funding from major European institutions.
Prof Elisabeth Russe

Internationally recognized for her expertise in peripheral nerve surgery and reconstructive microsurgery, she trained at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Prof. Russe specializes in the surgical treatment of chronic headache disorders, migraine surgery, and chronic pain management, while actively contributing to clinical research and postgraduate education.
Prof Peter Nthumba

Prof Peter Nthumba is also the Program Director of Plastic Surgery at Kijabe Hospital, Associate Professor and Director of Global Health in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and an Adjunct Associate Professor of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine.
Prof. Nthumba has extensive experience in reconstructive surgery, trauma, surgical infection, and global surgery, and is actively involved in research and mentorship across Sub-Saharan Africa through initiatives such as EACH Research and the CIEPS Virtual Global Surgery Research Lab.
